A box of salted popcorn going back and forth along a row of cinema seats, and everyone's fingers a bit buttery.
Salty popcorn, hawthorn and caramel open it. A creamy middle of milk, a lunar flower note and vanilla follows. It dries down to amber, ebony, vetiver and benzoin, which is what keeps it from being just a snack.
Cristian Calabrò made it for The House of Oud's Arts Collection, an Italian house that's hard to find in South Africa.
