Rose, the fresh-cut kind: still cold from the florist's bucket, with a bowl of peeled lychees on the counter.
Bergamot and pink pepper open it, and lychee arrives fast, sweet and a little sharp. The heart is Bulgarian rose and peony with a pinch of nutmeg. Vanilla, musk and cashmere wood soften the finish into something closer to skin.
