Stora Skuggan — Sample Set (9 × 2 ml brand original set)

The whole house, in one box. Nine eaux de parfum, 2 ml each, sealed and boxed by Stora Skuggan in Stockholm. We didn't pour these.

• Monkeyflower — Floral and green, with an odd vegetal brightness and a soft sweetness under it.
• Pine — In the house's own words, It's pine. It smells like pine. Sweet sap at the start, drying out to something resinous and faintly mentholated.
• Hexensalbe — Witches' salve: green herbs, resin, smoke and spice.
• Azalai — A desert caravan route. Dried fruit, spice, incense and dry wood.
• Thumbsucker — Honey and narcissus into cherry and violet, over beeswax, bitter almond, styrax and Himalayan cedar.
• Mistpouffer — Immortelle, bergamot, pine and fig leaf with ozone, smoke, vetiver, malt sugar and cypriol. Named after the unexplained booming sound heard over water.
• Moonmilk — Lime and black tea over cardamom, lily of the valley and black pepper, landing on leather and Mysore sandalwood. The milky one.
• Silphium — A reconstruction of a spice the Romans harvested to extinction: cistus, geranium, ginger, pepper, clove, cinnamon and tobacco over incense, cedar, myrrh and leather.
• Fantôme de Maules — Galbanum, green leaves and lemon into cardamom, lavender, coriander and forest flowers, on oakmoss, vetiver, cedar, sandalwood, tonka and labdanum.

We pour three of these as decants — Monkeyflower, Hexensalbe and Azalai. The other six aren't in our range in any form.
