Clean, orris-driven and completely controlled. One of the Amouage house signatures, and the one people mean when they say Amouage smells expensive without shouting.
Red pepper berries open it with a bit of bite. Neroli and orris run the middle — that's where the smooth, faintly powdery, soapy-in-the-best-sense character comes from. Vetiver and patchouli underneath keep it from being merely polite.
A fougère, and it has been in the range a long time for good reason.
