Penhaligon's — Luna
Cold citrus over a quiet floral, and the lightest thing Penhaligon's make.
Lemon, bergamot and bitter orange open it electric-sharp — reviewers reach for frosty and crisp, which is unusual language for citrus. Rose and jasmine come through underneath without ever taking over, and juniper adds a dry, gin-like edge.
Balsam fir and ambergris close it soft.
It is an Eau de Toilette and it behaves like one: about five hours, then gone. That's the trade for how good the first hour is, and on a Highveld summer day it's a trade worth making.
