Baccarat Rouge 540 brings together airy jasmine and saffron facets, a mineral ambergris-like effect, dry woods and the distinctive caramelised-sugar impression of ethyl maltol. Both transparent and enveloping, it has an almost dreamlike quality: familiar to many, yet surprisingly difficult to pin down.
