Floraiku — First Dream of the Year

Eau de Parfum

Grapefruit, orange blossom, iris. Read that back — in a three-note fragrance there is nowhere to hide.

It opens cold and citrus-sharp, turns to orange blossom fairly quickly, and then the iris underneath decides everything. Iris is the note that splits rooms: on some skin it is cool and powdery and expensive, on others it goes dry and papery.

The name comes from hatsuyume, the Japanese first dream of the new year — the one that is supposed to tell you how the year will go. Aliénor Massenet composed it.
