Parfums de Marly — Palatine (1.5 ml brand original sample)
Pear and peach into violet, on a soft musk-and-vanilla base. One of the house's most straightforwardly pretty releases.
Mandarin and bergamot brighten the opening. The heart is a full floral bouquet with violet petal at the front of it, and lavender adding a herbal edge that keeps it from being purely sweet. Sandalwood, vanilla and patchouli close it.
It leans powdery through the middle. Longevity is the thing reviewers consistently mention, including the ones who don't love it.
Brand original sample — not a decant.
This is Parfums de Marly’s own 1.5 ml sample vial. It is sold as a complete sealed unit.
